The first language I ever spoke was Italian. My parents had arrived from Rome and brought their world with them — the food, the culture, the dialect. English came later, at school, and it was a revelation. The sounds were strange and the rules were different and I found the whole thing completely captivating. When it clicked, I became obsessed with words, with the way they worked, with what happened when you put them in the right order. I've been fascinated by language and the power it holds ever since.

For more than a decade I've worked across Australia's biggest publishers and media brands — as a journalist, an editor, and eventually the person responsible for making sure the whole thing sounds right. Along the way I've written copy and branded content for hundreds of clients across every category imaginable — tech, travel, food, entertainment, finance. The work changes shape depending on what's needed, but the question is always the same: what's the version of this that someone actually wants to read?

What I do now sits somewhere between editorial and strategy — writing, building brand voice, shaping campaign narratives, finding the through-line that makes a body of work feel coherent rather than random; giving content a reason to exist beyond the brief.
